Pony Party

During the Easter break, one of Daniella's friends had a pony party at the stables she rides at. Lucky for her, she got her favourite horse Oliver, or Oli, as she likes to call him.
On the 9th of April, Daniella had "Own a Pony Day" and went to the stables for the entire day. She did a lot of riding, mucking out and getting Oli kitted up. She had such a good day, but of course now is intent on having her own pony....

Scotland

At long last, during the February half term, Daniella and I finally made our way to Scotland to see Allan, Faith, Sam, Jenna and Lily. What a reunion! It was SO good to see the Walker's! Door to door, it was an eight hour trip - a car ride to the station, a train to London, two tubes in London, a train ride to Edinburgh and then a bus with Allan to their home. Why such a long journey? It was the cheapest mode of travel and rather picturesque for fist time Scotland visitors. Allan and Faith have a lovely home and wonderful girls. A lot of fun was had by all - and some tears when leaving....

The Ocean Terminal - Scotland

Faith and I had to do at least one shopping trip, so off we went to The Ocean Terminal - a big shopping centre. Of course we had to stop for lunch and a much needed coffee!

Portobello - Scotland

What's a holiday without a trip to the beach? Crazy I hear you say... the Scottish beach in February... Cold, yes, but the girls certainly had fun! Portobello is really lovely.

The Beach Hut - Scotland

The Beach Hut was a welcome coffee break escape from the cold beach.

The Park - Scotland

After The Beach Hut, we went to the park for the little ones to have a play. Jenna and Lily had so much fun, while Daniella and Sam ran around like hooligans! Jenna, who at the time was almost three, went up to Daniella when she was on one of the play toys and said: "You're too big for that, darling." It was so cute and we just about died laughing....

Peebles - Scotland

Peebles is just gorgeous. A very picturesque little village, but it was SO cold the day we went, that we didn't spend too much time outside... The little coffee shop was so nice and warm! We didn't expect it to be as cold as it was, so Daniella and Sam were freezing. Jenna and Lily were wrapped up nice and warm.
